I bought the logger model with the barlog for barometric compensation, interface cable and display that I can connect to the special wellhead and switch from well to well easily. I also have tap and tell system for constant real time monitoring. A reel, tape, comfy handler and carrying bag were in a package. Soft is available for download. Battery works for seven years. Did not check, but easy to believe it. Can log 32 thousands of measurements. And it is truly cheaper than others
I want to buy this too, need to monitor the groundwater in my field. If the loggers are as good as interface meters, then I need nothing more. I see that they have the barlog and the vented version. What would you suggest? Do you have both or only with the barometric logger?
Only with barlog. Cannot say what is better. I think you should choose it for yourself. As far as I know, vented loggers are cheaper, but I do not know if they are less accurate. As for me, the construction with the barometric logger is more reliable.
Okay, I got the logger. Thanks for the help guys. But still need some tips about interface meters. Heron Instruments has two, H.Oil and Sm.Oil. What model is better to purchase, what is the difference?
Again, I advise to get the h. oil model. Works reliably, without any troubles and assistance. You get all you need for work in the package: sensor, battery, tape of any length you can need, hanger, bag, reel with a handle, hanger and the tape guide. Measures the thinnest layers of oil. But still the greatest thing about it is that it is very simple to use.
Well, SM.Oil is completely the same, only more compact and has only one length of the tape. So, if you already know the depth of your well and will not use it anywhere else – buy it and save some money. Heron Instruments is Heron Instruments, no need to pay more.
Thanks guys. You were all very helpful.
